Well, I haven’t been on in a while… Thought I’d give the ol’ blog an update
So, I graduated, yay for me… But I am still in need of the elusive “real job” I thought I’d have by now. I REALLY don’t want to have my own studio, so that’s out… I’ve found a few openings at studios in the area, but they require experiance and knowledge I don’t have. So, unless I want to shoot for Sears or something lame like that, there just isn’t any “entry-level” type jobs out there right now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m gonna keep trying, but for right now, I’m just gonna focus on my wedding that’s coming up in just over a month. Not to mention the search for a place to live once my lease is up… Hopefully by Augest, things will be settled enough to continue the job hunt. Anywho, hope all is well with anyone that makes it to this entry

Job Search
Guess what….
I just checked my UCM degree audit and it looks like the one thing I was worried about has now been taken care of! I got my Wedding and Location class to substitute for the credits I did not receive last year when I failed Media/Editorial, which means (barring failing my current classes) I should be a graduate of UCM in a little more than a week from now
I’m really excited, but still on edge because I still need to talk to the registrar’s office and make sure everything is good to go. Please keep your fingers crossed for me, and I’ll keep you updated

File Recovery
Recently I had to re-shoot a friend of mine to make improvements my professor had suggested. I was using a borrowed micro-drive instead of a cf card to store my images. Unfortunately, I wasn’t quick enough dropping the files to my computer, and when I tried to do so, the drive was shot. Now, I had been EXTREMELY careful with it, as it was not mine, and I was made aware how very fragile they are, yet it still managed to die on me. When I plug it in to any reader or camera, it kinda hums and won’t read. It’s as if there’s nothing plugged in at all on my PC, and my camera gives an error message (the number escapes me at the moment). Anywho, so I know there are ways to recover files from other types of storage media. Does anyone know if there is a way to recover files from a micro-drive?
